Missions

Description

Missions are the primary tasks players embark upon to gather Resources for their House. There are many types of Missions that each target a different type or types of Resources. Broadly, all Missions can be grouped into one of two categories:

  1. Resource gathering Missions

  2. Raid Missions

Performing a Mission:

Mission Options:

Every day, each member of a House is presented with a set of Resource gathering Missions for each difficulty. Every member of the House shares the same exact Missions, allowing for collaborative efforts to harvest as much from specific Missions as possible. (i.e. 1 Easy Food gathering Mission | 1 Medium Eyeball gathering Mission | 1 Hard Gem gathering Mission).

Not every Mission with the same difficulty and Resource is the same.

Make sure to check the values of the daily Missions to see which ones are most worth your time.

Different Missions take different amounts of time to complete, scaling with the Mission difficulty. Likewise, to embark upon a Mission, you will automatically use an amount of Food scaling with the Mission difficulty. If there is sufficient Food in your House Treasury for the Mission, your Success Rate is unaffected, otherwise, your Success Rate drops scaling with the deficit.

Additionally, there is always access to Raid Missions of all types.

Unique Actions:

Certain unique actions can be performed to increase Success Rate or Reward Yield on various Missions. These effects are applied retroactively, meaning if you embark on a Mission without a bonus, then a member of your House applies a bonus to the Mission your Character is performing, and you will receive the increased Reward Yield or Success Rate from that bonus. (i.e. P1 goes on an Easy Food gathering Mission at 1:00 PM, P2 (Mystic Class) uses the "Predict" unique action on the Easy Food gathering Mission at 2:00 PM, P1 will still receive the increased Reward Yield upon a succeeding)

Crypts:

On occasion (~ 1 / 2 weeks), a Crypt appears as a special Mission that all Houses have access to. Crypts have a wealth of valuable Resources within. It should be every Houses' prerogative to plunder as much as they can while the Crypt is active. Crypts have extremely low Success Rates meaning Houses must work together to compound as many Success-Rate-boosting effects as possible for the best chances. Crypts only last for a short period of time. Players do not receive any rewards immediately for completing a Crypt Raid, but it counts towards the House score. Once the Crypt disappears, the top Houses that had the greatest amount of successful Raids during the period distribute the loot within.

Mission Difficulties:

Missions are split into various difficulties, which determine the baseline Success Rates and Reward Yield for any given Mission. Generally, the higher the difficulty of the mission, the lower the Success Rate, and higher Reward Yield. Below are diagrams for each Mission type at different difficulties:

Food Gathering:

Food gathering Missions have various difficulties that each inversely scale their Success Rate with the Reward Yield. All Food gained from these Missions is automatically added to the House Treasury. (i.e. Lower Success Rate = Higher Reward Yield | Higher Success Rate = Lower Reward Yield)

Gem Gathering:

Gem gathering Missions have various difficulties that each inversely scale their Success Rate with the Reward Yield. Gems gained from these Missions are split amongst the player, the House Treasury, the Royals, and the Titan. (i.e. Lower Success Rate = Higher Reward Yield | Higher Success Rate = Lower Reward Yield)

Eyeball Gathering:

Eyeball gathering Missions only have Medium and Hard difficulties that each inversely scale their Success Rate with the Reward Yield. Eyeballs are generally always earned in low amounts. All Eyeballs earned from these Missions are sent to the House Treasury. (i.e. Lower Success Rate = Higher Reward Yield | Higher Success Rate = Lower Reward Yield)

Raid Missions:

(Specific Values still TBD)

Raids have multiple variants players can perform, additionally, players can also target specific Resources or pilfer all Resources. Each option has its pros and cons, outlined in the chart below:

Raid TypeAll ResourcesTargeted Resource

Random Raid

Success Rate + Reward Yield +

Targeted Raid

Success Rate - Reward Yield -

Success Rate - Reward Yield +

  • Random Raids: target a random House from any of the top 10 Houses on the leaderboard. The unpredictability of this assault leads to a higher Success Rate, but lower Reward Yield.

  • Targeted Raids: have players select any House to pilfer Resources from, but the intention behind the attack leads to a lower Success Rate, but a higher Reward Yield.

  • Targeting all Resources: will reduce the individual Reward Yield for any given Resource in favor of more diverse types of Resources.

  • Targeting specific Resources: will increase the Reward Yield for that type of Resource at the cost of not gaining any other types of Resource.
